Zoey Redbird. She's the main character in the Marked series by P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast.
This is a spoiler for those who have not read past the first book. Zoey saves her "almost ex-boyfriend" from bloodthirsty spirits that were conjured by Aphrodite, the resident bitch during a Dark Daughters meeting. For those who haven't read the book, The Dark Daughters is basically an exclusive group of fledgeling vampires and Zoey is invited to join her first day at the House of Night which is the vampire finishing school. Naturally Zoey succeeds and is gifted with marks from the goddess Nyx. If you haven't read the series, I seriously recommend it. |
